Around 10am this morning there was another school shooting and as of this moment is has claimed 26 or 27 lives around 20 of them are children. Already the lamestream media and MSNBC better known as MSLSD is blaming the guns. The shooter killed his parents at two separate locations and currently his girlfriend and another friend are missing. Then the shooter apparently went to the school. I am so sick of this crap. As the father of two I can't imagine what it is like to lose a child but is it the guns fault? The gun is a tool just like a knife or a baseball bat or a car. If you use these tools appropriately and respect their potential power then there is no problem. The shooter was the problem.
Crazy people are going to find ways to do crazy things. The guy could have made a bomb and blown people up. He could have knocked out his parents and burned their houses down. He could have used his car as a weapon or a knife. Just today there was a story on Drudge that a man in China used a knife and managed to slash 22 children with the knife. Now granted he didn't kill them but you get the idea, he attacked 22 children. How many of them will be scarred for life? Is it the knifes fault? People like this are not going to obey any law that you put in place. It won't matter if you ban guns the only people it will stop from getting them will be honest people. If the left gets their way the honest citizens of this country will be defenseless against the still armed criminals. Crime rates will soar as will gun related violence. President Reagan had the right idea, peace through strength. If any of us were bad guys would we want to try robbing someone we thought had a gun? Which house would we break into, the one we knew didn't have guns or the one we knew did?
There is a reason for the 2nd amendment: "A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed." What was the Militia as it was known to those in 1791 when the amendment was ratified? Who were the militia? They were citizen soldiers. They weren't trained soldiers, they often had no uniforms and used their own guns. They were not the army. We had an army, the Continental Army. It is no wonder gun sales have gone through the roof since November. People are starting to see the hand writing on the wall. When the government comes for our guns what are we going to do? Are we going to say what the late Charelton Heston did "From my cold dead hands." Or are we going to turn them over? I am not looking forward to that day if and when it comes.

Amazed...
Ok this post is not a rant or a complaint it is completely the opposite.
The last month has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. As Christmas gets closer I am reminded everyday of the many memories from childhood that involved my Mom. I miss her very much and I have days that I get emotional about things that really don't seem to have any connection to her. Despite that, I know her pain and discomfort are gone and she was welcomed into the arms of her Savior.
The last month has been crazy enough but the last week has been even more "crazy". In what has been nothing short of God's direction and His plan Renee and I have seen just how silly our best plans can be compared to the Master's. Renee's brother Pete got a job awhile ago and back in September they had an opening which I applied for but was filled. There have been some other moves and openings where he works since then and we have been hopeful for awhile that there might be something there for me. Nothing happened. I called and emailed more than a few times and nothing happened, and everyone knows how much I hate the phone. September turned into October and Mom's condition continued to get worse. Then November came and there seemed to be a nibble on the job then Mom really took a turn for the worse. What happens if I get the job? My Mom was dying and I am waiting on a possible job 3 hours away. Well nothing happened with the job. Mom passed away and still it seemed like maybe nothing would come together for the job.
During the last week of October we decided that God was directing us to get serious about looking for a house in the Syracuse area. We talked to Renee's Mom and one of the men from her church is a house builder and works closely with a specific real estate agent. I got in touch with him and we started the process of finding a house. Eventually that lead to this past Monday where Renee and I had made an appointment to see 7 houses that were close by to Renee's parents. The job was still up in the air the two key people that needed to be involved in any decision took vacation time in back to back weeks leaving things hanging. So Renee and I came out to Syracuse on Black Friday to celebrate Thanksgiving with Renee's family and to see the houses on Monday. We sit down with the real estate guy and just as we are ready to talk about the houses he is going to show us he says to us "by the way I found another house that you might be interested in". So we get talking about the house and we find out that it belongs to one of the other agents at the agency. The woman has not even listed it yet and when she heard what we were looking for she thought that we could look at her house too. Well her house is not only on the same street as Renee's parents, it is right next door. So needless to say I am sitting there thinking, wow, when God does something He does it right. I think that both Renee and I were sitting there thinking that this was going to be the house even before we saw it. We saw all the houses. It came down to 2 houses and there really was no choice. God's fingerprints were all over it. We just happened to use the right real agency with the woman that happened to be talking to our agent and said show them my house. It just happens to have almost everything we are looking for. It is not just close to Renee's parents it just happens to be in the same neighborhood. It just happens to be on the same street. It just happens to be next door. Yeah my plans pretty much stink compared to Gods.
So anyways thanks to my grandfather and what he left to us we are in the process of buying the house. In the meantime Pete tells me to go in to his work to see his boss who was back from his vacation. So yesterday Pete comes home and basically says "you start December 11th if you want the job". I still need to meet with one other guy and take a drug test but other than that it is a done deal. So on Monday we found our house and on Friday I got a job. So as of now we are going to be moving to Syracuse very soon and staying with Renee's parents until our house is ready to move in to. The people won't be ready to move out until April and we need to complete the financing and paperwork but things are all moving in the same direction.
It is just incredible to look at how God opens and closes doors and how amazing His plans are compared to anything that we might be able to come up with.

Stupid baby names...
Ok so this is totally not PC and nothing more than just a rant but I don't care. Its no wonder our country is imploding. Do you really think the Muhammads, Vladimirs, Kim Jong whatevers, Fidels, or Hugos of the world are going to give us more respect when we have a nation in 20 years full of leaders named Midnight, Yankee, Sage, Audio Science, Fallyn, Joplyn, Sketch, Tulsa or Tyce to name just a few? Maybe though the bad guys would think twice to tick off a U.S. President named Blayde, Diesel or Ryker.

George Washington...
Just a quickie. I heard today that NBC is in the process of developing a mini series about George Washington. It is NBC so I am sure it will be a hatchet job attacking yet another one of our American Heroes.
The power of distraction...
I realized something the day after the election and it is something that was reinforced to me the day after my Mom passed away. I had invested so much time day in and day out reading articles, looking at websites that were related to politics. After the election there was this huge hole, a hole that I did not want to keep filled with politics anymore. Politics was a welcomed distraction from the daily worry about Mom and what was going on with her. Well then Obama won and I did not want read or listen to the sold out media gloat and say how wonderful it was.
I have realized that this world has changed for me. The country that I grew up in is gone. The family I grew up in is far from the same, however the most important things remain the same. God is on the throne. He is in control. I've lost my grandparents and my Mom in less than 3 years but I have a beautiful wife and 2 adorable children. Life goes on. The sun came up the day after "The Annointed One" won re-election. It came up the day after my Mom passed away. We know how the story ends and we know who wins.
I had a thought about the anti christ. While I do not believe that Obama is the anti christ I wonder if he is not one of the people that Satan might have had ready to be the real deal. I think we have talked about this before, that Satan does not know when Jesus will return, so at all times he must have someone ready to become the anti christ when Christs returns. Obama has blinded the media and fooled this country and much of the world to what he is up to. He isn't just a liberal. If he was that would be bad enough. Instead he wants to neuter this country. I stop short of saying he wants to destroy it but he does not want us to be the "city on the hill" that we have been since we won our independence.
I think it is easy to see, after watching what has happened in the last 4 years, just how the real anti christ will rise to power. So many people willing to believe whatever someone says and ignore what he is actually doing. All the while those of us who have the protection of the Holy Spirit can see clearly what is really going on. I think this is one of the reasons I struggle so much to understand how "stupid" people can be. The lost are searching for someone to fill the Christ shaped hole that is there in their heart. So much so that they are willing to check common sense and everything else at the door when they think they have found someone to plug that hole. Obama is the man of the moment and he will fail.

And so it begins...
There is an old saying that the cream rises to the top. Well in the Obama administration it is the slime that rises to the top. Now that there are no elections to win, in less than a week we are starting to get the real picture of what this crew is all about.
David Petraeus happens to resign from the CIA just before he is suppose to testify before Congress about the biggest scandal since Watergate. We find out that the Iranians shot at one of our drones over international waters before the election and at least CNN knew and didn't feel it was a big story. The President has shut down over 1.6 million acres of land that the Bush administration had set up to be used for oil shale development. The media is free to start talking about the fact that we are on the verge of another recession. The National Treasury Employees Union has begun pushing to have their pay unfrozen, which will likely spark other federal unions to do the same. The stock market has taken a dump this week. The State Department had a briefing for foreign reporters on Election Day and the analyst in charge of the briefing said that our credit rating was going to get downgraded again. Harry Reid is talking about raising the debt ceiling by another $2.4 trillion. The EPA apparently has a bunch of regulation ready to go, to dump all over the "enlightened" people of this country. Rumors suggest that some of those regulations will increase gas prices. Obamacare is starting to show its tentacles with health care costs about to skyrocket and choice in health plans about to disappear due to government control. There isn't a thing that the President said that was true. His entire campaign was a lie. I think that Rush may have it right. Just stand aside and let the Democrats get everything they want. Let the country go bankrupt and there will be nobody to blame but the Democrats. When the country wakes up, the Republicans can be there to pick up the pieces.

Frustration beyond the breaking point!
Topic 1: The stupid ridiculous moronic idiotic election...
I have to say that all I have wanted to do the last two days is explode all over Facebook and take on the few vocal "liberal" friends that have posted remarks. But I just can't. I don't have the energy to fight a fight that should not even be fought. The economy sucks, the President's policies have failed he had nothing to run on but hate and division and they don't see it. They are totally blinded by what I have no idea. Common sense is dead. They live in an alternate reality. Use as many facts in your arguments as you want and you get...Bush Bush Bush Bush's fault. I realize as believers we know that things will continue to get worse as time goes along but half the country lost its mind in less than 4 years time. The same situation existed only 32 years ago and the American people threw out the trash and swept Ronald Reagan into office on the strength of 44 states, 489 electoral votes and nearly a 10% advantage in the popular vote handing Jimmy Carter arguably the worst defeat for any incumbent President in our nations history (other than maybe 1912 but having a former President run against you might hurt your chances, especially if the President was Teddy Roosevelt). The cliff is coming and the liberals are pushing us full speed ahead. I only wish that Alan West or someone like him was speaker of the house because I don't hold out much hope that Boehner will have the backbone to dig in and fight tooth and nail against the Marxist Democrats.
Topic 2: Paulbots crawl back under your rocks already.
As sick and tired as I am of the disrespectful, vulgar, children that inhabit the Democrat party now, I am more tired of the Paulbots. On the surface there seems to be hope for them because they do believe some of what we conservatives believe but then they go off the rails. I am tired of reading things lecturing us about being held accountable by God for who we vote for. Our votes are not pure enough. We need to vote for someone that believes everything we believe or God will be angry with us. If that was not bad enough don't dare try to discuss the difference between voting for someone that is better than Obama and actually had a chance to win. That means nothing to the drones on the far extreme on the libertarian train. After Mitt Romney won the nomination there were 3 choices. Vote for the most socialist progressive President we have ever had who's history is like the Bermuda triangle. Or vote for a third party with no chance of winning in effect making it more likely that Obama wins. Or vote for Mitt Romney. Was Mitt my choice? Heck no. But I had no hesitation voting for him over Obama. That may not be "pure" enough but to all the Paulbots you can blow it out your ear hole.
Topic 3: Abraham Lincoln.
With the new movie coming out soon and mainly because of Kenny's message to me I thought I'd touch on this one. Maybe it is because I am cranky tonight and saying "blow it out your ear hole" made me feel better before, but right now I could give a rats patoo about the "myth" of Abraham Lincoln. He was just a man, a sinner like the rest of us. Was he a racist? Was he about big government and taking away our rights? Who the heck cares. He has been dead 147 years. Our country needs heroes. So instead of tearing down a man that all of us have grown up to look at with respect and honor let sleeping dogs lie. Lincoln will always be remembered for freeing the slaves and saving the Union. Has history erased some of the bad about him? I wouldn't doubt it but I have a feeling being assassinated tends to soften the critique of a former President. No one talks much about the fact that JFK basically did nothing when the Berlin wall went up and after the Bay of Pigs fiasco the Russians thought he was a weak kneed amateur and that lead to the Cuban Missile Crisis. The left idolizes LBJ, FDR and Woodrow Wilson, give me Lincoln any day of the week and twice on Sundays compared to any of those racist, commie, pinkos.
Thanks to Peter for suggesting the name and idea for this page and to Kenny for passing it along.
